The future of bartending is currently happening in Japan, as patrons are now prompting machines to pour their beers for them. Now, you could totally do this on your own, but when’s the last time a restaurant or bar has said “Hey (whatever your name is), why don’t you just go ahead and run the tap?” That’s right, they’ve never said that, so remember that before you start all those snarky comments about how you could be doing it yourself.

That said I feel like that’s far too much foam on top. Conversely, it’s also a pretty big glass, so I really don’t know how I feel about how the machine did. What score would you give this pour job out of 10?

Technology is capable of plenty of amazing things these days, although there are still times where it might be best if everything weren’t so “smart”. B.J. May encountered that recently when his Nest doorbell system locked his door when it spotted an intruder at his door. May, who was the one opening the door, looked at his app to see what was going on and noticed his security system was trying to protect him from the Batman picture on his shirt:

That’s pretty hilarious, but had he not had his phone on him that would’ve been pretty frustrating! Has anyone had something like this happen to them?
